Hosting and server log files
The website, the database and our email account are hosted by STRATO AG, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, on servers in Germany. A data processing agreement with STRATO is in place (Art. 28 GDPR). When you visit, the host stores technical data in server log files (IP address, time, requested file, browser identifier). The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Fonts
All fonts are hosted on our own server. Visiting the website does not create any connection to Google Fonts or other font providers.
Contact form
The contact form can only be sent once you have consented to the processing of your details by ticking the checkbox (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Where your enquiry concerns an appointment, we also process the data to take steps prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
We store your name, the contact method you provide (email or phone), the requested treatment and your message. As proof of your consent (Art. 7(1) GDPR) we also store the time of consent and the exact wording you agreed to. The data is kept in the database on our server at STRATO and is additionally sent to the salon by email.
We never store your IP address in plain text. To protect against mass spam we use a hash value that is valid for one day only. Enquiries are deleted automatically after 180 days unless a contract is concluded or statutory retention obligations apply.
You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future, for example by email to info@beautytime-kaarst.de. Processing carried out before withdrawal remains lawful.
Online booking (StudioBookr)
For online booking we embed the StudioBookr booking calendar as an iframe. StudioBookr and our salon software studiolution are operated by Head-on Solutions GmbH, Bärenschanzstraße 2, 90429 Nürnberg, Germany. The calendar is loaded only after you click; until then there is no connection to StudioBookr. By clicking you consent to the calendar being loaded and at least your IP address being transmitted to the provider (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TDDDG).
When you book an appointment, you enter your details (in particular name, contact details, requested treatment and appointment) directly with StudioBookr. This data is stored at studiolution and does not pass through our web server. We also use studiolution as the salon's appointment book and client management system. The legal basis is the performance of a contract or steps prior to entering into one (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). We keep the data for as long as it is needed for your appointments and the client relationship, and beyond that only where statutory retention obligations apply.
We have concluded a data processing agreement with Head-on Solutions GmbH (studiolution) in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR. Under it, the provider processes your data only on our behalf and according to our instructions.
Contact by email, phone and WhatsApp
If you contact us by email or phone, we process your details to handle your request (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). The WhatsApp button is an ordinary link. Only when you click it does WhatsApp open, a service of WhatsApp Ireland Limited (Meta). WhatsApp's privacy notice applies to processing there.
Visit counting
We count page views anonymously and only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TDDDG). For this we set the cookie “cms_vid” containing a random identifier (stored for 400 days), which reaches our database only as a hash value. No third-party services are used, no profiles are created and no data leaves our server. If you choose “Essential only”, we merely store that choice anonymously and without an IP address. You can withdraw your consent at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer.
Embedded content
The map (Google Maps, Google Ireland Limited) is loaded only after you click. Until then there is no connection to Google. By clicking you consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR); at least your IP address is transmitted to Google. For the booking calendar see “Online booking (StudioBookr)”. Google may transfer data to the USA on the basis of the European Commission's adequacy decision (EU-US Data Privacy Framework). If you choose “Always load”, your browser remembers that choice.
Links to social networks
Instagram, TikTok, Google Maps and StudioBookr appear on our website only as ordinary links. No plugins are loaded. Data is only transmitted once you click a link and open the provider's page.
Storage in your browser
In your browser's local storage we keep your choice of light or dark mode, your cookie decision and your decision on embedded content. This information is not sent to us (Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG).
Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, as well as the right to withdraw any consent at any time. You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The competent authority is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia.
